Head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov does not rule out that the occupiers may carry out a second attack on Kharkov. He spoke about the readiness of the Ukrainian military.

Sinegubov recalled that the front line runs along the Kupyansky direction in the region and the enemy is constantly trying to attack, but suffers losses and retreats to previously occupied positions. He spoke about this on the air of the national marathon, writes Channel 24.

The Russians are strengthening their presence on the front line

Indeed, we hear information about attempts to re-offensive in the city of Kharkov, on the settlements of the Kharkov region. We are ready for this, our Armed Forces of Ukraine are strong and ready to respond to any attempts of the enemy of this nature. – Said Sinegubov.

He also stressed that the Russian troops are strengthening their presence on the front line. According to him, we are talking about the Kupyansky, Dvurechansky direction, as well as the direction of Kremennaya.

“We see this, the enemy's goal is to prevent the Armed Forces from advancing. There are certain maneuvers and we do not really include attempts to counterattack by the enemy. However, our fighters are fully prepared for this,” said Sinegubov.

Is there a threat to Kharkiv

  • Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Reuters said that Russian troops could launch attacks as part of a new offensive northeast of Kharkiv or south of Zaporizhzhia.
  • “There will, of course, be attempts to attack either Kharkiv or Zaporozhye. How successful they will be will depend on us,” he said.
  • Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov recently spoke about a possible Russian offensive on Kharkov. He noted that now there are no strike groups from Russia, however, according to him, it cannot be ruled out that “in some time they may appear.”
