The National University of Lviv Polytechnic answered whether they would respond to the actions of their teacher and former people’s deputy Irina Farion, who handed over a pro-Ukrainian student to the Russian FSB in temporarily occupied Crimea.
When asked by journalists whether the educational institution would respond to Farion’s actions, they noted that a working group had been formed there that was looking into this issue. The results were promised to be published on November 22.

When asked by users to hide information about the guy’s first and last name, Farion replied that she would not be given any advice. Later it turned out that the occupiers became aware of the letter, so they became interested in the young man.
Users of social networks believe that Farion understood that she was putting the pro-Ukrainian student in danger. Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets contacted the SBU for an appropriate response to the disclosure of confidential information.
According to him, it is an obvious fact that in the temporarily occupied Crimea they are putting pressure on people who hold pro-Ukrainian views.
However, under martial law, Farion disclosed the guy’s personal information, which could have consequences.
