Issues of cooperation between Russia and Iran are of concern not only to Ukraine. The Mossad said that Moscow could sell weapons to Tehran, because of which the existence of Israel would be threatened.

A corresponding statement was made by the director of the Mossad intelligence service, David Barnea. He is embarrassed by the fact that Iran can receive modern weapons from Russia, which “will jeopardize the existence of Israel.”

Russia can provide Iran with modern weapons

During the annual conference of the Counterterrorism Policy Institute, Barnea noted thatRussia can receive long- and short-range missiles from Iran. Before this, Tehran transferred to Moscow the Shahed kamikaze drones, which the Kremlin continues to use against Ukraine.

He noted thatIran’s attempts providing Russia with missiles was thwarted. At the same time, Barnea has a feeling “that even more deals will soon be thwarted.” Despite this, he is concerned about what weapons Iran might receive from Russia.

We are afraid that the Russians will give the Iranians in return what they lack, modern weapons, which will certainly threaten our peace and perhaps even our existence here,” Barnea said.

Cooperation between Russia and Iran continues

  • On September 7, it became known that an Iranian transport aircraft Il-76TD “Pouya Air” flew into the airspace of the annexed Crimea Peninsula. It landed at a closed airfield in occupied Simferopol.
  • It was suggested on the Internet thatthe plane could transport military cargo. It is possible that we are talking about spare parts for the Shahed kamikaze drones , with which Russia constantly attacks Ukraine.
  • Data from the FlightRadar24 monitoring service showed that this plane took off from Crimea at 14:09. Soon the aircraft headed for the Southeast and flew over the Black Sea.
  • And laterit was already recorded in the direction of Moscow. The Monitor monitoring channel noted that this plane could be carrying cargo military purposes.
