Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov demonstrated a new procurement agency that will “put an end” in the history of dishonest operations in the sale of products.
The head of the Ministry of Defense said this during the presentation of the State Logistics Operator (GOT) enterprise in Kiev, which will take on responsibilities and launch all processes logistics procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, food, clothing, fuel and lubricants, body armor, helmets.
— The army will receive everything on time, in sufficient quantity and of high quality, contractors — clear rules and the ability to plan, society will see fair, optimal prices, — says Umerov.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Defense Dmitry Klimenkov noted that the eradication of corruption — this is just the first stage.

— Next, we need to build an effective procurement mechanism for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is our top priority, — he noted.
On October 30, the Minister of Defense appointed Arsen Zhumadilov as head of this agency.
— The main task of GOT — ensure continuous supply for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, build trust in the MOU supply system among key stakeholders and build a sustainable institution that effectively carries out its responsibilities, regardless of the external context. At the same time, all work of the GOT will be built on the principles of integrity, human-centeredness, professionalism and openness, — said Arsen Zhumadilov.
Starting 2024, the State Logistics Operator (GOT) will begin purchasing from the state budget.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhny, during the presentation of the new agency, noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should concentrate on fulfilling their tasks.
