Drone attacks on oil refineries in Russia should cause a domino effect — first, the price of fuel will rise in the aggressor country, then a shortage will arise, and then export opportunities will be reduced.
Military expert and head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko spoke about this in broadcast of the One News telethon.
— Everything is moving in the right direction. Two points are very important. Now, when they begin to crumble in Russia, then it will be clear that the crisis is major and this is a collapse. These are the military, when there will be a shortage, and this is the agrarian. That is, these are the ones that consume the most,” he says.
Strikes on oil refineries in Russia: consequences
According to Musienko, if the attacks on oil refineries in Russia continue for several more months, the economic situation there will worsen significantly. Because this deals a blow to Russian exports and the image of an aggressor country in the market. In addition, such attacks can create internal problems in the Russian Federation.

He noted that attacks on airfields are also needed, so we should expect this in the near future.
– There is a certain consistent strategy, plus the airfields are better protected by air defense systems. I think that we will see all of this (strikes on airfields – Ed.). There is a decision to implement a comprehensive strategy up to a certain stage. Here, 13 out of 30 (refineries, – Ed.) were striking. Most of them in European Russia can probably reach. And, apparently, the task is to hit everyone, then, perhaps, hit them again, creating a domino effect,” the expert noted.
