— Julian Assange is free. He left prison… on the morning of June 24, having spent 1,901 days there. He was granted bail by London's High Court and released that afternoon at Stansted Airport, where he boarded a plane and flew out of the UK, the report said.

The plane carrying the Wikileaks founder stopped to refuel in the Thai capital Bangkok. Assange is expected to arrive in the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory in the Pacific Ocean.

On Saipan (one of the islands in the Mariana Islands, — Ed.), Assange will enter into a plea agreement with the U.S. government that will help him walk free and end a long-running legal battle over the release of classified documents.

He is reported to have pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiring to illegally obtain and disseminate classified national defense information. This is stated in a letter filed with the court, the US Department of Justice reported.

ICTV Facts told the story of the accusations against Julian Assange, how it all began and what was contained in the classified documents for which he was threatened with a long term behind bars.
