Russian occupiers continue to shell some settlements in the Nikolaev region. The fact is that they get to them from the Kinburn Spit.
It has three settlements that are under the control of the invaders. Almost all shelling, except for missiles, comes from there. The head of the Nikolaev OVA Vitaly Kim said about this on Channel 24 .
According to Kim, two communities are currently suffering – Ochakovskaya and Kutsurubskaya, which are located on the seashore. From the Kinburn Spit, the invaders get there.
To all other territories, the invaders do not get out of the MLRS and artillery. We had two rocket attacks – on December 8 and 31 – and that's it, – the head of the Nikolaev Regional Military District emphasized.

Why the Russians are relentlessly hitting Ochakov
The port of Ochakov suffers greatly from Russian attacks. The point, Kim explains, is that it's a critical port infrastructure. In addition, this is the point from which our Armed Forces of Ukraine can strike, in particular, on the Kinburn Spit.
“Because they get to it, to the maritime infrastructure in Ochakovo and Kutsurub,” said the head of the Nikolaev OVA.
Russian drones shoot down
Recently, in the South, the Air Defense Forces shot down an enemy Orlan-10 drone, which was trying to conduct reconnaissance. Kim noted that they only fly over the occupied territory.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine control this situation, and if there is a possibility of defeat, they are immediately shot down. Drones do not fly over the liberated Mykolaiv region,” Vitaly Kim summed up.
