< p _ngcontent-sc90="" class="news-annotation">Power shortage is growing in the capital. Consequently, Ukrenergo is forced to increase the number of disconnected customers.

This was reported to DTEK by Kyiv Regional Electric Grids. They noted that the shutdowns are not going according to schedule.

Earlier, by order of NPC Ukrenergo, due to a shortage of power, electricity was temporarily limited to part of the 1st stage. DTEK announced the following procedure for shutting down queues for stabilization: :00;

  • 2nd turn – 10:00 – 14:00, 18:00 – 22:00 and 02:00 – 06:00.
  • It is advised not to turn on powerful electrical appliances

    DTEK explained that if some item is repeated in several queues, then the shutdown will concern different streets. The absence of electricity on the street will last no longer than 4 hours.

    Soon, DTEK will publish schedules with specific streets where there will be no electricity. Messages will appear on the company's website and social networks.

    We appeal to customers with a request not to turn on powerful electrical appliances (washing machines, boilers, air conditioners, electric kettles, etc.) during the morning and evening consumption peaks from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00, – DTEK noted.

    Russian attacks on critical infrastructure

    Russians massively attacked Ukraine 10 and 11 October with missiles and kamikaze drones. Therefore, a number of cities and villages were left without electricity, water and mobile communications. Because of this, rolling blackouts began due to lack of power. In addition, repair work is still ongoing.

    In the Vinnytsia region, a regime of total energy savings is being introduced, since there is serious damage to infrastructure facilities. Currently, 242 settlements of the region are left without electricity.

    “Savings are needed so that hospitals and social institutions can operate. Otherwise, Vinnitsaoblenergo will be forced to introduce emergency shutdown schedules,” the head stressed. OVA Sergey Borzov.
