Over the past few days, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has slowed down somewhat. After brilliant operations in the Kharkiv region, near the Liman and the north of the Kherson region, there was less information about the new liberated settlements.
Military expert Petr Chernik told Channel 24 about this. According to him, this is a completely normal process. You can't go on the offensive forever – the military also needs rest and regrouping.
There are 2 reasons why the UAF counteroffensive has slowed down
As Chernik notes, the front line has changed somewhat. Accordingly, it is necessary to bring up certain resources and supplement logistics.
Any military operations are organized by people. We are not made of iron either. We also need a respite, a regrouping of forces and a rethinking of the strategic line of general demarcation. It is impossible to advance endlessly, Chernik emphasizes.
Naturally, one can give an example of the total coming of the Russian Union in World War II after the Battle of Stalingrad. But here it is worth mentioning right away, at what cost did everything happen . Many people died during the attack. Ukraine cannot treat its own military this way – they need to be protected.
Another reason is no less important. Although the enemy sometimes makes ridiculous decisions, he also learns.
Despite the brilliant Kharkov, Liman and Yampol operations, the enemy is rethinking everything and learning. No matter how much we laugh at their senseless decisions, they still have a certain process of rethinking the front. And they are trying to resist. And in terms of their total number, there are more of them,” Chernik noted.
Therefore, one should not underestimate the enemy. They are already driving “Chmobiks” to the front, who will still need to be “grind”.
