Why Russians will remain silent about the debates in the USA: Feigin assessed their attitude towards Trump Alina Burtseva

US presidential candidate Donald Trump, during a debate with Joe Biden, said that Russia’s conditions for ending the war against Ukraine are unacceptable. However, Moscow will not react to anything now.

This is the opinion 24 Channel was expressed by Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin, noting that this is all due to the fact that the US presidential elections have not yet taken place. They will take place in November. Let us note that Trump also stated that the war in Ukraine should not have started.

What is Trump's position

“The result is still unknown. There have long been doubts that Trump will take a clearly pro-Moscow position,” Feigin said.

Vladimir Putin, when giving an interview to American journalist Tucker Carlson, flirtatiously stated that Trump is unpredictable. Like, it’s better for the Kremlin to negotiate with Biden, because they know what to expect.

Therefore, Moscow is really unsure about the behavior of the former US President. At the same time, Russia has experience interacting with Donald Trump during his presidency.

Why Russia will not react to statements

There are people around Trump who are calling on him to radicalize his position on Ukraine – to count on the doctrinal position of the United States, which traditionally opposes Russia. That is, it speaks of support for Ukraine.

However, there are also those who have opposite position. For example, the son of the ex-president of the United States, who publicly declares his rejection of Ukraine.

“He is being pulled in different directions. Now it is beneficial for Trump, so that his position is not too pro-Moscow. He expects to win,” the Russian human rights activist emphasized.

Feigin added that it seems that such tactics were justified, since almost 65% of Americans, who watched the debate are convinced that Donald Trump won. Therefore, he can toe the line with the position that he condemns Russia. At the same time, he will say that he will “agree.”

Russian propagandists have nothing to say now. Throwing mud (Channel 24) at Trump – he is neither hot nor cold in the elections. It is premature to show your frank position. “They will wait until November,” the Russian human rights activist added.

Pre-election debates of presidential candidates took place in the United States on June 27. Joe Biden and Donald Trump expressed their positions, in particular, on migration, the economy, the conflict in Gaza and the war in Ukraine.
