Why Russians are losing aircraft en masse: a Ukrainian serviceman analyzed the reasons Anzhelika Galesevich

Russia is losing its aviation more and more often: a Russian Su-34 fighter crashed, and GUR drones hit a Tu-22M3 bomber. Every employee of a Russian military facility, and especially airfields, is starting to think about their future.

Russians understand that punishment will be inevitable. Panicking, they began to withdraw aviation from the border with Ukraine. National security expert, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ivan Varchenko on air of 24 Channel explained why the enemy is losing aircraft en masse.

Comprehensive measures

According to the serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is the technical malfunctions that appear in Russian military aircraft that will be the main reason why they cannot perform their functions or simply fall before Ukrainian air defense, F-16 or drones reach them. The aircraft require modernization, replacement of a significant number of imported parts, but the Russians do not have this opportunity.

The situation with civil aviation is no better, it is getting worse every day. And not as a result of Ukrainian strikes, but because the Russians do not have the ability to restore the air fleet. Even making two or one plane out of three, they are already running out of basic spare parts. The longer it goes on, the more the planes will not be able to perform their main function – to fly.

This is also partly the effect of the sanctions that are imposed on the territory of the aggressor country. Because Russia cannot buy parts and repair equipment due to the consequences of its own actions – a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Our partners are also helping to create the situation that is currently forming in the Russian military-industrial complex. That is, complex measures are being taken.

We are destroying their enterprises that manufacture the spare parts and components necessary to support the equipment. We are destroying airfields where aircraft are stationed that could become donors for other aircraft, but we are finishing them off. Thanks to sanctions, Russians do not have the opportunity to obtain components even through “black” and “gray” schemes. The complex of these measures will lead to the fact that Russians will have no prospects in the future. And the opportunities that exist today will melt away with each passing day, Ivan Varchenko stated.
