The Security Service of Ukraine has documented that Russia has begun the active phase of preparing a pseudo-referendum on the illegal annexation of the occupied territories of the East of our state. the invaders are actively working to create a picture about the “desire” of the locals to join Russia.

They decided to expand one of the pro-Russian organizations operating in the occupied territories and call it “big Russia”. More than 1,000 so-called activists already operate as part of this formation, who daily brainwash the locals and recruit people.
Why do Russians need “referendums”
But, as on Channel 24 host Aleksey Pechiy explained, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have completely different plans, in particular, to liberate all the occupied territories. The enemy is well aware of this, and therefore is trying to play for time in order to have time to annex the occupied territories.
This raises the question – why are the Russians in such a hurry to hold their “referendums” if they mean nothing to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the world still does not recognize their “results”
There are at least 2 reasons for this. First, in this way they will demonstrate at least some “victory” to the Russian people.

The second reason is that after the annexation, the occupiers will declare that these territories are already officially Russian. Therefore, when the Ukrainian troops de-occupy them, the Russians will say that they attacked Russia. Consequently, Putin will have a free hand to declare war.
How the Russians are playing for time
“It is now critically important for the Russians to play for time, because they understand that it takes time to hold referendums, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already under a lot of pressure,” Alexey Pechiy added.

Lavrov quickly received a response from the Ukrainian side. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, said that Ukraine is now conducting its own “special military counter-operation” and will definitely achieve its goals:
- the expulsion of Russia from Ukraine,
- the elimination of criminal enclaves and gray zones,
- demilitarization of Russia,
- destruction of the reputation of the “evil empire”,
- transformation of Russia into an isolated “camp for its own”.
How the Russians prepare for the “referendums”: briefly
- According to media reports, in September the infidels want to annex a fifth of Ukraine. It was during this period that they are preparing their “referenda” in the Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
- It is known that in Kherson and Zaporozhye the active stage of preparation is already ongoing. They began to recruit people to the so-called “election commissions”.
