The corresponding decision was approved by the Ministry of Education. This was stated on the air of the telethon by the head of the department of general secondary and preschool education of the Ministry of Education and Science Yuri Kononenko, channel 24 reports.
Which of the Russian writers will remain in the school curriculum
Speaking conceptually, it was decided that writers who wrote in Russian, but whose work was closely connected with Ukraine, that is, they were either born in Ukraine, or lived in Ukraine for a long time, or reflected Ukrainian themes in their works, their work Nikolai Gogol, Vladimir Korolenko, Anatoly Kuznetsov, Ilf and Petrov, as well as Mikhail Bulgakov will remain in the school curriculum.

Kononenko noted that now more European, American and Asian writers will be included in the program.
“There will not be a very large number of new works that are included in the program. If we talk about something completely new, then Josef Roth, an Austrian writer, he will also be studied in the course of school foreign literature. There are a lot of writers who worked on the European, American and Asian continents will now be studied in the course of school foreign literature,” the official stressed.
How schoolchildren will study from September 1
Ukrainian educational institutions on September 1, finally, will return to full-time education, but for this, schools must equip places for shelter.
