Eight cities in the Donetsk region will be left without centralized heating in winter due to Russia's actions.
This was announced at a briefing by the deputy director of the housing and communal services department of the Donetsk OVA Larisa Guseva.
She noted that there would be no heating in Bakhmut, Seversk, Toretsk, Chasovoy Yar, Vugledar, Avdeevka, Svyatogorsk and Liman.
— We will not be able to (restore, — Ed.), because there is no gas there, gas pipelines are broken. In all other cities there will be centralized heating either by gas boilers or by modular coal boilers, but it will be, — Guseva said.
She added that in such communities, people would be provided with buleryan stoves, potbelly stoves. In addition, the authorities will provide local residents with firewood and pellets.
— There is a certain program, there is help from international organizations, it will all be done on an individual basis, we are already working on it, — the official says.
Guseva noted that 110 heating facilities were destroyed due to hostilities in the region, and this affects the preparation for the heating season.
