The first thing the mskl do after establishing their power in the occupied territories is to burn Ukrainian textbooks and bring in teachers from Russia.
De-Russification of the school
Why? For they understand the strategic importance of education. But in Ukraine, after four months of a full-scale war, the Ministry of Education has only now taken a step to throw Russian writers out of schools.
The Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Ministry of Education finalized the decision of the working group to amend the programs on foreign literature. It was almost unanimously decided that all the works of Russian authors are extracted from the programs – both mandatory for study, and those that were at the choice of the teacher. Now it remains to consolidate this decision by order of the Ministry of Education and Science. Children will no longer read Bulgakov, Pushkin, Dostoyevsky and other Russian authors.
However, the commission discussed – for example, whether a new concept of literary education and a place for the literature of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine is needed. I am glad that these important issues were raised, they should become the subject of public discussion.
“But” with traces of blood
In general, the meeting would not cause me any special emotions (except ” Why was this decision not made eight years ago?!!!”), if not for one “but”. In addition to the decision of the working group, which included scientists, methodologists and teachers, the commission also considered the position of the Directorate of Preschool and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Science. Directorate officials are sure that schoolchildren will not do without Chekhov, Bulgakov, Turgenev and many other Russian writers and suggested leaving them.
I have an alternative proposal – to send the authors of this position to temporarily occupied territory so that they can discuss the greatness of Russian literature with the bearers of the “pyc world” directly.
The lack of political attention to education is the result of poor education among those who now make decisions, and there is also a big question about their adequacy .
