Ukrainians are worried about the winter weather because of rocket attacks on substations. Everyone is concerned about one question – how to keep warm if there is no heating and frost hits. However, the Ukrhydrometeorological center gave a calming forecast.
This winter in Ukraine will be warmer than the previous one. Director of Ukrhydrometeorological center Mykola Kulbida told about this in an interview to channel 24.
The frosts will be strong, but not long
The meteorologist assured that there would be no too cold winter in Ukraine. In the northeast, the air temperature can drop to to -20 degrees, and in the East – to -25 degrees. However, such cold periods will be short. Ukrainians won't have time to get too cold.
In general, the temperature regime in winter will be above the norm. Not much, but still higher. This gives hope that there will be no long cold snaps,” Kulbida explained.
Ukrainians should not expect the first snow in October. With the exception of the Carpathians, because this is a special region. For the first time this autumn it was snowed there in September. In all other regions of the country, snow is possible in November. However, it will be wet and melt quickly.
By the way, the air temperature in January and February in Ukraine increased by 2-2.5 degrees. According to Kulbida, this is “terrible warming”. At the same time, this process will not stop. On the contrary, the trend is towards an even greater increase in temperature.
