Partners provide more and more powerful means to protect against Russia. Ukraine will require a different type of weapon in autumn.

Military expert Petr Chernik told Channel 24 about this. He noted that Ukraine does not have long-range weapons, but may soon get them.
“I must say that HIMARS is an open platform that has a unique ability to change a variety of ammunition. And our partners have long-range ammunition for these installations. The Americans did not tell us a categorical no. They said they would not give it yet. However, this can be significant . change under certain circumstances,” Chernik said.
Ukraine will receive aviation
The military expert stressed that in mid-April, dreaming about HIMARS was on the verge of fantasy, but today Ukraine needs them. Also, as Chernik noted, even about such installations as the German Panzerhaubitze 2000, it was considered something fantastic to think somewhere in March.
I have no doubt that sooner or later the point will come that Ukraine will definitely receive good aviation. For example, 24 F16 class vehicles can significantly improve our position on the front line,” the expert noted.
Supply Forecast
Chernik said he could be wrong, but would risk making a forecast for arms supplies. He noted that the rains would soon begin and it would be incredibly difficult to fight on land. Therefore, Ukraine should carry out only high-quality missile and air strikes.
“I note that this is only my personal position and I can be wrong. In my opinion, in the period October – November, the first squadrons of the F16 class or even the old modernized Soviet ones that Europe has, MiG-29s or Su-27s, can come to us,” Chernik said.
Weapons in Ukraine
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Rostislav Smirnov noted that Ukraine has enough weapons to launch counteroffensives. According to Smirnov, strikes on Russian warehouses are the first steps towards the successful liberation of territories.
