The heroic Armed Forces of Ukraine do not yet need full-scale waves of mobilization to effectively eliminate the Russian occupiers. Of course, mobilization processes do not stop under martial law, but the situation at the front determines the conditions.
What is the current situation with mobilization: an explanation of the ATO veteran
Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, explained that there are currently no waves of mobilization as such in Ukraine. The ATO veteran noted that mobilization depends on the situation at the front.
In particular, mobilization can be more active when it is necessary to replenish units or replace soldiers who have been on the front line for several months. You should also understand the difference between temporary rotation and demobilization.
At the same time, we are not talking about demobilization and returning home, because according to the law, during martial law, mobilization continues until it is canceled . “Mobilization directly depends on the need for additional staffing of military units. Even if the situation on the fronts becomes more complicated, all mobilization tasks will be completed,” Kostenko assured.
He also added that it is planned to withdraw first-line units for restoration and rehabilitation, but it is very difficult to call it rest.
