When Ukraine will be able to receive weapons under Lend-Lease/Collage of Channel 24
< strong _ngcontent-sc88="">Ukraine continues to receive military assistance from international partners. But so far there is no talk of Lend-Lease. It will take effect soon.
The White House noted that at first our state is being given free military assistance. As soon as it ends, then Lend-Lease, which everyone in Ukraine is waiting for, will work. At home, he stressed that aid is now a priority in the United States. We are talking about weapons for which our state will not have to pay later.
But Lend-Lease is another type of military assistance. According to him, Ukraine will have to return the money for the equipment that was provided to us. For the time being, our state is receiving weapons provided for by a number of programs and initiatives. For example, USAI – the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative – and the US Presidential Powers Program.
The White House emphasized that Ukraine receives weapons precisely thanks to the programs announced above. For their implementation, money is used that was previously allocated by the Congress of the United States. It's about 40 billion dollars. More than half of this amount will be directed specifically to the armament of our state.
Worthy of attention! The corresponding amount must be spent by the end of September 2022. It is at this time that the fiscal year in the United States will end.
Lend-Lease was signed more than 2 months ago
It would be useful to recall when exactly the US President signed the Lend-Lease law. It happened on May 9th. And although Ukraine has not yet received the weapons provided by this program, our state provides the necessary international partners just like that.
Every day, more and more new military equipment is brought to Ukraine. In addition, our defenders and defenders are trained to more effectively destroy the enemy. And what are HIMARS rocket launchers. With them, the Armed Forces of Ukraine aptly turns enemy formations into ruins, as well as command posts. All this is already bringing us closer to victory and the liberation of territories from occupation.
