The new package of European Union sanctions against the Russian Federation will cover only blacklists.
An EU official told Radio Liberty that the European External Action Service will only propose individual sanctions in the 13th package of restrictions.
— The package is needed before the second anniversary of the (full-scale, — Ed.) war. There is little time, so the EU is only proposing individual sanctions, which is what the G7 partners will do. At the same time, the European Commission will work on introducing sectoral, adopted sanctions, combating circumvention, — he noted.
EU sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of the invasion
According to the expectations of the European official, proposals will be submitted to the Committee of Permanent Representatives next week.

The European Commission has 245 proposals for sanctions against new individuals. Among them — 160 companies and people involved in the production of drones, ammunition and other military products.
In particular, 18 proposals related to the supply of weapons to the DPRK, 10 companies and individuals from Belarus. Famous names include — admiral of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and governor of the Tula region.
Sanctions for the deportation of Ukrainian children
The list of the 13th package of EU sanctions against Russia will include people involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children, the dissemination of Russian propaganda, judges, real estate companies and transport enterprises.
In particular, the European Commission proposals mention the company Sonatek, which may be associated with spyware.
According to the source, the European Commission will present 24 new items in the annexes related to the procurement of components for the production of drones. Some EU states criticize the Commission for the fact that the sanctions package contains only individual restrictions.
