As noted in the report, on July 11, the Russian independent media organization Meduza reported that the Russian government implements an “information exchange system” between the Ministry of Defense and the FSB to transmit detailed information about potential conscripts to the FSB border service and prevent them from escaping from the country. It is noted that the system should be fully functional by the fall of 2024.

According to British intelligence, Russia annually conducts 2 conscriptions for military service, annually calling up more than 250 thousand people for military service one year of compulsory military service.
