Political scientist and partner of the Good Politics communications agency Maksym Dzhigun told Channel 24 about this, noting that Ukraine needs to have good relations with both parties.

These conflicts are “fresh”, they are happening now and are taking on new contours, so she is forced to react to them. He noted that Harris's victory is unlikely to lead to extraordinary positive changes for Ukraine.

Regarding the unpredictable Trump, his future policy as president may turn out either good or bad for Ukraine.

He often likes to impose his opinion on other world leaders, but it is not a fact that he will receive the necessary approval from Vladimir Putin. Unfortunately, so far Russia has successes on the front lines, which prompts the Russian dictator to further actions.

Trump's statement to Putin that everything needs to be stopped as it is, or in some other configurations, will not necessarily be received favorably. Then it is difficult to predict what the reaction of a person who is used to being dominant in international relations will be. Here, the scenario against Russia and increased support for Ukraine could work, the political scientist noted.

Dzhigun gave the example of transferring the first lethal weapons to Ukraine in the form of Javelin systems when Trump was president. None of the Democrats did this.

Interesting! But the executive director of the Renew Democracy Initiative, Uriel Epstein, believes that Trump has no other option to stop the war than to give Putin everything he wants. But the Democrats' rhetoric is better, because they are transferring weapons to Ukraine, albeit in small amounts.

The political scientist concluded that it is important for Ukraine to build bipartisan cooperation and cooperate with the newly elected Congress and senators.
