For more than 115 days, a full-scale and bloody war against Russia has been going on in Ukraine. Many Ukrainians have lost contact with their relatives and friends as a result of the actions of the Russian occupiers.
The Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories explained what to do when you cannot get in touch with your loved ones man. Step by step instructions – further in the material.
No contact with relatives during the war: what to do
The algorithm of actions from the Missing Persons Commissioner is as follows :
- First of all, you need to inform the National Police authorities at your place of residence that the person has disappeared.
- After that, you should contact the National Information Bureau on the hotline – 1648. It works around the clock and seven days a week – by phone, together with the operator, you fill out a special questionnaire.
- The third step is to contact the call center of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in order to clarify the information.
By the way, the call center contacts mentioned in the last step are as follows:
- 0 800 339 247 – the line is available from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm;
- 095 896 0421 – works remotely, only messages in Telegram and Viber messengers;
- 050 600 25 37 – also remote mode, only messages in Viber and Telegram are considered.
It is noted that when following the instructions, at the stage of contacting the investigator, you should provide as much information as possible . Useful when searching for a missing person in special circumstances will be:
- copies of documents of the missing person;
- photo and video of a loved one or relative with whom contact was lost;
- medical certificates and special signs, in particular scars or tattoos of the person you are looking for.
