Due to the blocking of pro-Ukrainian users on social networks, CBK and Debunk start monitoring such cases. All so that people can freely spread pro-Ukrainian messages.

The Disinformation Action Center explained that this campaign is a continuation of the Debunk initiative in Lithuania. Thanks to her, more than 150 evidences of unfair restriction of users for publications about the war in Ukraine were collected.

The Center for Combating Disinformation, together with the organization Debunk, is launching a campaign to monitor cases of non-virtuous blocking of foreign pro-Ukrainian users on social networks, the CPI said.

They explained the purpose of this work in that:

  • everyone can freely share information and news from the frontline;
  • unhindered to organize fundraising campaigns to support Ukrainians;
  • to strengthen our voice and public support for Ukraine in the international space.

The Center for Countering Disinformation called on Ukrainians who have experienced illegal blocking of accounts on social networks for pro-Ukrainian publications or based on complaints from pro-Russian users or bots, fill out a special form in which you can report a violation.

Meta will not block content about the Azov regiment

  • Minister of Digital During the transformation, Mikhail Fedorov said that Meta would no longer block content related to the Azov Regiment.
  • According to Fedorov, this was achieved thanks to agreements with the company's president of global policy, Nick Clegg, and vice president of policy moderated by Monika Bickert.
  • Thanks to these negotiations, hundreds of accounts of Ukrainian military, bloggers and activists were unblocked. It should be noted that since 2014, Instagram and Facebook have been blocking messages that mention Azov.
