If a person has passed a medical commission and does not appear in the military registration and enlistment office in the future, then they may may impose criminal liabilityfor evading military service. Criminal liability is imposed only after passing the medical examination, if the conscript did not appear at the military registration and enlistment office on the next agenda.
Fines and punishment for failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office
- If the conscript did not appear at the military registration and enlistment office without good reasons, he can be fined 85 – 119 hryvnia. For a repeated offense, you will have to pay up to 255 hryvnia.
- But draft evasion, when a person does not come to the military registration and enlistment office after passing a medical examination, is punishable by restriction of freedom for up to 3 years.
What are the types of subpoenas
In total, there are 4 types of subpoenas:
- Summons to clarify credentials – you need to come and register, update information about the conscript.
- Summons for the passage of the military medical commission – go through the medical commission.
- Summons for conscription – such a summons indicates the time in which you need to appear at the recruiting station.
