What is the depth of the Dnieper in Kyiv under the pedestrian bridge
The maximum depth of the Dnieper, reaching 19 meters, is recorded below the Pedestrian Bridge.
This value is not constant and depends on a number of factors:
- Bottom topography, since the river bed is winding, with holes and rifts, which causes uneven depth.
- Human intervention. In the past, to ensure navigation, they took soil from the right bank, deepening the channel.
