What heart diseases are exempt from mobilization: a complete list

by alex

Martial law and general mobilization have been going on in Ukraine for more than a year. However, there are people who cannot be called up for military service due to the presence of certain diseases.

A complete list of diseases that temporarily or completely exempt conscripts from service was previously published by Channel 24 .

Diseases of the cardiovascular system, exempting from military service

Note that the final suitability of a potential conscript is determined only by the military medical commission (VLK) during a medical examination. Citizens from:

  • heart failure II-B – III stages (with other stages are considered limited suitable);
  • stage III hypertension (with other stages considered of limited relevance);
  • cerebrovascular diseases with significant impairment of function (for example, cerebral infarction or stroke);
  • diseases of arteries, arterioles and capillaries, veins, lymph nodes (atherosclerosis, thrombosis, varicose veins, etc.) with significant disorders of blood circulation and functions.

Military medical commission: which doctors conduct an examination and how long does it take

During the medical examination, those liable for military service can be referred to different specialists if necessary. At the same time, citizens must inspect:

  • Surgeon;
  • therapist;
  • neuropathologist;
  • psychiatrist;
  • ophthalmologist;
  • otorhinolaryngologist;
  • dermatologist;
  • dentist.

We emphasize that the legislation does not say anything about how long the medical examination should last. Therefore, it does not have inserted terms – everything happens individually and takes as much time as it takes.
