The war that Russia unleashed against our state united the entire Ukrainian people. Every Ukrainian makes his contribution to the victory as much as possible, because it is very important to endlessly help the front.
We have no right to break down
This Channel 24 was told by military expert Petr Chernik. He emphasized that there is no extreme point here. And if someone thinks that the state, volunteers and foreign partners have already saturated our army to the maximum – this is far from the case, because a hard winter is ahead.
I am a categorical opponent of this philosophy when they say that this state should take care of everything. The state is you and me. The state is a form of organization of society, nothing else, – Chernik emphasized.
The military expert added – if we don’t realize this and think that someone somewhere will do everything that need, then we can expect a catastrophe. He is convinced that in the future, sooner or later, everything will go according to the scenario of Ukraine, but now we have no right to break. If it happens, then in the historical context it can be final.
In addition, the enemy is also very aware of what awaits him in case of defeat. That is why the Russians are so rampant, mine the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, brandish a nuclear baton, etc.
“I emphasize that war is a vile phenomenon, but slavery is worse. These, by the way, are not my words, these are the words of Winston Churchill,” the expert noted.
What more does the front need
According to him, while helping the front now, we need to focus on the fact that winter is ahead, and it can be very difficult. Therefore, all possible warm clothes are needed to provide personnel, in particular, portable stoves or “potbelly stoves”.
It should also be taken into account that even now our energy infrastructure is significantly damaged, that is, with electricity, especially on the line of demarcation, there may be problems. Therefore, our military needs all possible types of generators that can produce electricity, as well as firewood.
What is the situation with weapons
Chernik noted that in terms of weapons, everything that can be done has already been done or is being done. At the same time, the allies do not turn away from us, so everything is not so bad with weapons in Ukraine. Although, of course, there is never a lot of it.
“But by and large, all the basic systems, starting from the individual Kalashnikov assault rifle and ammunition for it, and the build-up of artillery systems and air defense systems are going in the right direction,” – summed up the military expert.
What else do the military need at the front now
Volunteer and founder of the All for Victory charity fund Gennady Vaskov told Channel 24 what things the military especially needs on the eve of winter. According to him, in addition to heating equipment, they need high-quality and warm uniforms, as well as tactical food.
What is no less important and necessary for defenders at any time of the year is drones and various vehicles, including evacuation vehicles , equipped for the removal of the wounded.
