The Ukrainian Defense Forces are logically and correctly undergoing a fundamental technical re-equipment. This will set the stage for a turning point in this phase of the war.
In particular, the first Leopard 2 tanks have already entered Ukraine. Military expert Petr Chernik told Channel 24 about this.
When to expect a turning point in the war
Moreover, we should not forget about the huge package of armored vehicles from the United States. This package of military assistance for our state contains a colossal amount of various items – more than 1,000 units.
For example, infantry fighting vehicles M2 Bradley. These vehicles, with the help of a cannon, can scrap a Soviet BMP-2 within 2 kilometers. As well as the M1296 Stryker, which is a significantly enhanced analogue of the Soviet BTR-82.
Chernik noted that one of our battalion tactical groups needed 33 vehicles. Therefore, this package will greatly aggravate the Defense Forces. In addition, Patriot air defense systems are being sent to Ukraine.
In the strategic complex, this will help us improve the protection of the sky. Therefore, it will allow the use of the aviation that we have.
In this case, by mid-spring – early summer, the prerequisites for a climax in this phase of the war may develop, the military expert suggested.

Chernik stressed that the relevant forecasts should be treated with caution. In addition, the enemy changed the tactics of combat operations from large artillery ramparts to colossal infantry waves. And there are still many invaders who can be thrown into battle like that in Russia.
Actual about military assistance to Ukraine
- On February 26, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur arrived in Kyiv. He met with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and announced the next package of military assistance to Ukraine.
- This time, the package that Estonia handed over to Ukraine for the defenders will contain weapons and equipment. We are talking about the Role 2 mobile field hospital, machine guns and pistols, UAVs, thermal imagers, generators, chargers, and clothing.
- Bulgaria resumes production of Soviet 122mm artillery ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the Terem enterprise in the Bulgarian city of Kostenets stopped the production of shells in 1988, and in January 2022 resumed their production.
- Germany continues to provide Ukraine with weapons and equipment. Moreover, Berlin increased the amount of assistance and decided to provide 300,000 shells for the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery mount.
