Deputies from the German coalition wrote an article calling for more weapons for Ukraine. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has already reacted to this.
The deputies called for an increase in the supply of weapons, because Ukraine is now protecting the whole of Europe from the Russian invasion. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba supported such calls.
German deputies representing all three ruling parties are absolutely right in their call to provide Ukraine with maximum military assistance. A well-armed Ukraine is the best long-term investment in the security of Europe,” the minister said.
Such an appeal was issued by members of the Bundestag Christian Klink, Sarah Nanni and Alexander Müller.
In addition, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock called for the same action. According to her, in matters of weapons for Ukraine, Germany is doing the same as other states. There is no mention of competition between them for who will help Ukraine more.
What kind of weapons we get from Germany
- Even earlier, the country announced that it would reduce military support for Ukraine. Like, they want to protect their territories in a hypothetical war with Russia. Military expert Peter Chernik assured that nothing fundamental would happen from Germany's decision. Note that the country was in no hurry to supply us with weapons, for which it constantly came up with new excuses.
- And yet, in July, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced that the first Gepards from Germany had already arrived. We are talking about three anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery mounts manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Gepard. The supply of weapons from Germany is increasing every time.
