Metinvest Group celebrates its 16th birthday during the war. Since its foundation, the company has been working on the development of Ukraine.
Now, in these difficult times, Metinvest has not hesitated to send all its resources to help the state and has already provided UAH 1.5 billion to support the country. The company promises to continue helping Ukraine until the very victory, Channel 24 reports.
Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, Metinvest founded the Save a Life humanitarian project. Thanks to the efforts of the Group and partners from all over the world, about 60 thousand people received the necessary assistance – food and essential goods, the company supports medical institutions in the cities of presence and provides the necessary drugs and equipment.
Despite the difficult conditions, the companies continue to work, in particular, after a month of shutdown, work was resumed in Zaporozhye, and Metinvest employees in Kamensky, Pokrovsk and Krivoy Rog are holding steady now, in the most difficult moments.
Thanks to everyone who supports stable production for a peaceful future. I believe that after the victory, our enterprises in Avdiivka and Mariupol will work. We will restore the plants, and the unbending fortress of Azovstal will again produce high-quality steel, – assured Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group.
In the new conditions, the company is doing everything to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine – it has mastered the production of special steel for bulletproof vests, which now protects the warriors on the front lines. Together with those purchased abroad, the number of body armor for Ukrainian soldiers from Metinvest will be more than 100,000.
“We also provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones, thermal imagers, cars and medical supplies. We have made tens of thousands of anti-tank hedgehogs and bastions to fortify cities,” Ryzhenkov added.
According to the CEO, all this became possible thanks to Metivnest's team – specialists going to work shifts; volunteers of social projects; employees who defend the independence of our state.
Each of you is a hero worthy of respect and boundless gratitude. Unfortunately, the war brought a lot of grief to Ukrainians, including our workers. Know that we will not leave you alone with trouble and will help you survive the horrors of the war,” said Ryzhenkov.
To do this, Metinvest has created Rehabilitation and Reintegration Centers so that migrant employees can receive medical and psychological assistance, as well as find a new place work and housing.
The CEO of Metinvest said that the time will definitely come when everything that is now destroyed will be rebuilt, and all the hard work will be done for the sake of a happy life in the peaceful cities of a successful independent country.
One of Metinvest's plants, the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, has become a symbol of Ukraine's invincibility and a refuge for Ukrainian defenders, who held the city's defenses for almost three months. Now Mariupol is under temporary occupation by Russian invaders. However, Metinvest is confident that everything destroyed will be restored, and Ukraine will not give up its territories to anyone.
