The European Community will intensify the fight against Russia's shadow fleet, which, bypassing sanctions, continues to supply oil to third countries.
Methods for suppressing cyber attacks carried out by the Russian Federation as part of a hybrid war will also be increased.
This was stated by President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference after the end of the summit of the European Political Community, which is taking place in the UK.

RF Phantom Fleet — Macron's position
— I want to support the call, which has united about forty members of the European political community, to strengthen our actions against the so-called phantom fleet, that is, ships that allow Russia to circumvent EU sanctions, & #8212; pointed out the French politician.
Macron emphasized that among the topics discussed by the summit participants was support for Ukraine.
— We have reaffirmed our support for President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people, and it is clear that Ukraine’s place in the European family is fully justified. Our support will increase, because in Ukraine the issue of Europe and its security is at stake, — he summarized.
RF Phantom Fleet — Scholz position
German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz also supported Macron on this issue.
He stated that the “shadow fleet” Russia must be neutralized in the interests of the civilizational world, since this is how Moscow continues to finance the war in Ukraine.
—The European Union has already responded to this with sanctions, and now we want to combine our efforts into a global coalition to put this fleet on a chain, — emphasized the politician.
