On April 28, the US Congress voted for Lend-Lease to Ukraine. The Ukrainian military will use weapons arriving on our territory in the summer.
This was stated by military analyst Serhiy Grabsky on Channel 24.
“The time frame depends on , as far as we are familiar with this technique. It is not difficult to transfer it, it is a logistical procedure,” the analyst noted.
Another thing is how quickly the Ukrainian military will be able to master a certain type of equipment, how effectively it will be used, and how quickly Ukraine will be able to organize a maintenance system for this equipment.
Even the initial acquaintance with howitzers alone takes about a week, taking into account the movement of about a week. Then you need to understand that the guys-instructors, 50 people, have to teach someone else. That is, we add at least another 1.5 – 2 weeks.

Considering this, the time frame is shifting approximately for a month and this is at the best development of events. It should be understood that from 1 to 3 months pass between the dispatch and use of a certain type of weapon in the field.

What is known about lend-lease for Ukraine
- The US House of Representatives voted in favor of lend-lease to Ukraine on the evening of April 28. There were 417 votes in favor of the corresponding decision, 10 against. Now the document will be handed over to Joe Biden for signature.
- A few minutes before the start of the vote, the US President published a tweet in which he once again emphasized support for Ukraine. The States will continue to provide military assistance to our state.
- Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak stressed that the bill provides for the US President to have expanded powers to transfer or lease defense assets.
- It is worth noting that Lend-Lease was last used during World War II. Then the United States transferred weapons to European countries that fought against Nazi Germany.
