Russians killed a French journalist near Severodonetsk. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already reacted, emphasizing that the number of crimes of infidels is only growing.

Execution of a recovery car
On May 30, the Russian army fired on a car that was supposed to evacuate 10 civilians from the combat zone near Severodonetsk. A French journalist was mortally wounded by shrapnel in the neck. He was working on material about the evacuation. The head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai, specified that Frederic Leclerc Imhoff, a French journalist, cameraman and photographer, had died. He worked for the BFMTV channel.
A policeman was still in the car, but his helmet saved him. Amid the tragic events, the evacuation from the Luhansk region was officially stopped.
The death of other journalists
- During the fighting with the Russians in the Donetsk region on May 28, journalist Vitaliy Derekh was killed in an airstrike. He was 34 years old. He worked as a reporter for the 20 Minutes newspaper.
- Another Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Makhov was killed on May 4 near Izyum in the Kharkiv region. He was a journalist, worked on the TV channels “Dom”, “Ukraine” and “Ukraine 24”. He also hosted the Voenkor podcast.
- On April 29, journalist and military man Maxim Medinsky died in battles in the Kharkiv region. He also worked as a communicator in the Reform Office of the Ministry of Energy. The hero has a 3-year-old daughter Alice.
What is the situation in the Luhansk region
Heavy battles with the invaders are going on in the Luhansk region. The enemy wants to cordon off the Ukrainian military in the area of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk. The highway Bakhmut – Lisichanskaya is under the control of the Ukrainian military, but it is constantly fired upon.
Fighting is already underway on the streets of Severodonetsk. A shot ambulance was found in the city. Three doctors are missing. Also, as a result of enemy shelling, 2 civilians were killed, 5 more were injured.
