Against the backdrop of the continued armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, European leaders should reconsider their own defense policies and build up an industrial base capable of responding to a likely threat in the future.
This was stated by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, speaking at a press conference in Stockholm along with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.
“These measures will not only give us better access to the necessary military systems, but will also significantly improve the compatibility of the armed forces of different EU member states,” she is convinced.
The politician once again confirmed her convincing support for Ukraine until the end of the war unleashed by the invaders from Russia.
