The European Union is unlikely to be able to fulfill its promise to provide Ukraine with a million artillery shells by March 2024. However, the European Union is working to eliminate bureaucratic problems that could get in the way.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba in a comment to the host of the United News telethon Vadim Karpyak. According to him, Ukrainian diplomacy talks a lot and rings the bell loudly to resolve the issue.
“The reason is the deplorable state of the defense industry, which can produce a sufficient number of shells, the state of warehouses and the ability to conclude external contracts,” says the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
The minister noted that there are now many obstacles, and some of them are also unsynchronized. Member countries of the European Union are working to eliminate a number of bureaucratic problems.

According to him, the EU is trying to achieve this goal in three ways. Among them are the supply of 300 thousand ammunition from existing stocks and exports from third countries to Ukraine. The European Union is now trying to increase production capacity.
