British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy said that Russia is trying to plunge Ukraine into darkness according to the 2022 scenario, so allies must unite.
He said this during a meeting of the UN Security Council on November 18 in New York, dedicated to 1000 days of full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation.
Massive shelling of Ukraine — position of the British Foreign Office
โ The Kremlin wants to plunge Ukraine into darkness. But we must defend the light of its freedom. Ukraine and its partners want peace in accordance with the UN Charter, which unites us today.
But we know that Putin only responds to force. To have a strong peace, strong security, we must be as strong, united, patient and determined as the Ukrainian people, — Lemmy pointed out.
The British diplomat stressed: Putin must know that the civilized world will not tire of resisting Russian aggression.

It is now, when Ukraine has crossed the line of 1,000 days of large-scale war, Lemmy noted, that its Western allies are firmly defending the international order.
โ In 1,000 days, we still stand for the principles on which the UN was founded. In 1,000 days, we are as ready to resist your aggression as we were the day you started this senseless war, — he addressed Putin personally.
