Ukraine received help from European neighbors in the field of energy for the stability of the Ukrainian energy system.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky following the results of December 7.
At the beginning of the address, the head of state thanked Japan for the “very timely and necessary” decision to support Ukraine.

— $4.5 billion — this is the total amount, and the first part — $1.5 billion — We expect it already in January. A significant portion of this relief package — in the spring. Japan consistently and very fundamentally supports our state, our people, and I am grateful for such help, — Zelensky reported.
The head of state also spoke about the meeting with the head of government Denis Shmygal. It, in particular, discussed cooperation with partners, the preparation of new decisions on supporting Ukraine and cooperation with donors.
— We also discussed energy issues, the government’s work on the energy sustainability of Ukraine, the stability of our work, of all our systems. Thanks to the connection of our energy system with Europe, we have adequate support from our neighbors — this is important — said the President and thanked every country that helps.
Separately, Zelensky thanked every Ukrainian family who understand military and temperature challenges and consume electricity economically and rationally.

Work of the Verkhovna Rada
The head of state also said that this week he expects important votes from the Verkhovna Rada on relations with Ukraine’s creditors and on the European integration path of the Ukrainian state.
— Our priority — full implementation of all those decisions that are needed for Ukraine to fulfill everything necessary in the European direction. We believe that the European Union will fulfill its promise to Ukraine, — he said.
The President added that it was on this topic that he spoke with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

The Ukrainian leader also spoke about a conversation with ambassadors of the state charity platform United24, during which the outcome of the meeting on restoration was discussed.
Among those who joined the charity project — Andrey Shevchenko, Elina Svitolina, Katheryn Winnick, Alexander Usik, Michelle Khazanavicius, Brad Paisley, Imagine Dragons.
— I thanked you for uniting the world for the sake of our people, for the sake of restoring Ukrainian infrastructure. In total, this week we record the mark of $500 million, which has already been collected during the work of United24. If we talk about the direction of these funds, then these are thousands of drone systems, as well as naval drones, 200 high-class ambulances, armored ambulances, hundreds of generators for hospitals and other equipment, — he said.
Regarding the restoration process, the President said that we are talking about apartment buildings and schools, and it is already possible to record completed restored hospitals, as well as a built demining center.
— That's all — millions of donors, completely different. Both ordinary people and companies from more than a hundred countries. I thank everyone who joined the work of United24 and the entire team of our platform, — thanked the head of state.
Military and border guards
The President also spoke with Ukrainian commanders, and an intelligence report was also presented to him. The president did not provide details of the conversation.
Vladimir Zelensky noted Ukrainian border guards who not only protect the state border, but also, together with all the soldiers of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, fight at the front for the sake of Ukraine and people.
The head of state announced a special award to the soldiers of the Kramatorsk border detachment — Bakhmut direction, Donetsk region.
— Soldier Mieczyslaw Levitsky and Sergeant Igor Kulikov — brave, effective warriors. I thank you guys — he said.
As for the Zhytomyr border detachment, we are talking about soldier Vasily Paliya with the call sign Kordon and sergeant Alexander Kachur, who are fighting in the Donetsk region.
The president also remembered the DOZOR special unit, which works in different directions and units that protect the south of Ukraine, in particular the Southern Regional Directorate and the Maritime Guard. According to the President, their mobile fire teams are hunting Iranian Shahedas every night.
Sanctions
— There is also a new decision on sanctions by our state against Russian entities who are involved in this aggression, who work for it. Russian individuals and legal entities. More than 360. And we work with partners to synchronize all our sanctions steps, — said the head of state.
Local Government Day
At the end of the address, Vladimir Zelensky touched upon the fact that today is Local Government Day in Ukraine.
— The day of many people who work in communities, for the sake of communities. In areas near the front and throughout our state. I congratulate everyone for whom to be in local government — this is to be with people, take care of the interests of people and always remember the interests of all of Ukraine, — he said.
The President thanked those who make their communities stronger and said that he signed a decree rewarding local government representatives who work near the front.
