We have common goals, – the political scientist suggested whether the strikes on Iran are help to Ukraine from Israel

On the night of January 29, drones attacked the country's defense complex in Iran. If Israel is really involved in the attack, then such actions can work in favor of Ukraine.

This opinion on Channel 24 was expressed by political scientist Andrei Vigirinsky. Israel notes that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Tel Aviv has been on the side of Kyiv.

Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor said that his country is helping Kyiv, “but behind the scenes and much more than known”.

Vigirinsky suggested that against the backdrop of the explosions in Iran, Prosor's statement could be interpreted in such a way that it was Israel that struck Iranian military facilities in favor of Ukraine. However, according to the political scientist, if such steps were really taken, then Tel Aviv acted, first of all, in its own interests.

We have common goals with Israel in matters of Iran. But for Israel, it is not the main goal to prevent the supply of Iranian “Shaheeds” to Russia,” Vigirinsky said.

Joint goals of Israel and Ukraine

He added that Kyiv and Tel Aviv share another goal. In particular, according to Vigirinskiy, the common goal for Israel and for us is to prevent Iran from producing certain types of weapons.

The military-industrial complex of Iran today poses a common threat both to us and to Israel. Consequently, strikes against any objects that are inflicted as a result of joint operations by Israel, the United States, the Saudis and other countries that are not indifferent to Israel's security coincide with our interests.

The political scientist noted that Kyiv and Tel Aviv have a common enemy specifically in this matter – in terms of the military-industrial sector of Iran.

“In this case, the steps that protect Israel, can be perceived as taken both in favor and in defense of Ukraine. Let Ukraine have more such allies,” Vigirinsky stressed.

The Iranian Defense Ministry said that the Mujahideen terrorist organization was involved in the explosions. And Israel allegedly provided them with intelligence assistance. However, according to Vigirinsky, this version of the Iranian authorities is illogical.

“The formation of a stockpile of nuclear weapons by the Iranian government does not pose any threat to the Mujahideen. These are completely different areas of values and interests,” the political scientist said.

Vigirinsky added that, most likely, other countries are behind such attacks.

If an object related to Iran's nuclear program was hit, then we can talk about a consolidated allied position on organizing corresponding attacks from Israel and the United States,” the political scientist noted.

Explosions in Iran: brief
