According to him, at the same time, there remains a high level of shelling from Russian territory near the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

— Most of the shelling, if we compare the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, occurs in the Sumy region. Here the enemy uses artillery, aviation, and attack drones. Most of them are aimed at populated areas. Russia continues to confirm its status as a terrorist country, Andrey Demchenko is convinced.

The State Border Service spokesman noted that Russian troops are not currently deploying additional forces near the border with Sumy Oblast.

At the same time, the State Border Service does not record any actions that the Russian Federation could take with the aim of deploying or expanding the zone of active military operations in the direction of Sumy Oblast, Andrey Demchenko noted.
