Epiphanius does not see the repentance of Russians/Channel 24
The Russians, even after all the atrocities they have committed in Ukraine, are convinced that someday Ukraine will forgive them. At the same time, not only Ukrainian citizens, but also spiritual leaders have an extremely opposite opinion.
Metropolitan Epiphanius noted in which case Russians can really count on forgiveness. So far they have not even embarked on this path.
We must give place to the wrath of God
Vladyka OCU stressed that forgiveness presupposes repentance, understanding of the evil committed and a sincere desire to make amends for what has been done. At the same time, the Russians do not detect any of these steps.
“Do not avenge yourself, beloved, but give place to the wrath of God.” Therefore, we must forgive those who repent of their deeds. And since there is no repentance, we give it as a retribution to God,” said Epiphanius.
