United Nations Secretary-General Antonique Guterres said that Russia's violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity is not in line with the UN Charter.
The UN Secretary General announced this during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin today, April 26, in Moscow.
We firmly believe that the violation of the territorial integrity of any country is completely inconsistent with the charter of the UN. We are deeply concerned about what is happening now. We believe that there has been an invasion of the territory of Ukraine,” Guterres said.
According to the Secretary General, the claims that the aggressor country has regarding Ukrainian issues and European global security must be resolved in accordance with the UN Charter.< /p>
Antonique Guterres also said that he understands the discontent that the Kremlin has. However, according to the organization, these grievances need to be addressed based on the various instruments proposed by the UN charter.
