Lviv will have the heaviest heating season this winter. Therefore, local residents are warned to be prepared to screw up the temperature on the batteries.

You may also have to save light. This was announced by the head of the Lviv OVA Maxim Kozitsky at a briefing, channel 24 reports.

What Lviv residents should prepare for

According to Kozitsky, everyone should understand that there will be situations when you will have to save electricity, you will need to screw in batteries at home and get not 22, but 18 – 20 degrees.

That's what we need to be ready for. Both business and government should be ready for the most difficult heating season, – said the head of the region.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy said that everything possible will be done to keep medical facilities working and to be able to buy all the necessary things. According to him, the region has literally one to two weeks to prepare for the autumn-winter heating season, given the new realities.

“The enemy has shown his plans. He will attack cities and hit all critical infrastructure facilities, it is important for him to intimidate people. But we are well aware that the effect will be the opposite,” the mayor said.

Sadovyi also called for in each shelter there is a heating point – to put stoves and prepare firewood. When it's 10-15 degrees below zero outside, it will save you from freezing.

What's in Lviv with the warning system

Kozitsky also said that now in 70 communities of the Lviv region there are new warning systems that have a reserve of 48 hours of operation without power supply on batteries.

However, such warning systems are not in every locality in the region. Therefore, cars with loudspeakers will drive there.
