NATO military chief Rob Bauer has issued an important warning to Western civilians. The admiral called on the citizens of Western countries to prepare for a “total war” with Russia.

In addition, Bauer noted Sweden for its proactive approach to advising its citizens on preparing for a potential war.

“It all starts with the realization that not everything can be predicted and not everything will be good over the next 20 years,” the admiral emphasized.

Bauer made his announcement on the eve of NATO's greatest exercise since the Cold War. In particular, the Alliance plans to simulate defense against a potential Russian invasion.

About 90,000 troops are expected to participate in Exercise Steadfast Defender, with a notable contribution of 20,000 troops from the UK. These exercises, which will continue until May 2024, will demonstrate NATO's commitment to readiness and collective defense.

On Russia's attack on NATO German Defense Minister also spoke

• Defense Minister Boris Pistorius called on the German armed forces to prepare for a possible Russian attack on NATO. According to the head of the German Ministry of Defense, the aggressor country may attack one of the members of the Alliance.
• Pistorius does not consider an attack by the aggressor likely right now. However, he is inclined to trust the statements of experts that the war could unfold in the next few years.
• The official noted that with his statement he wants to “wake up society.” And also to call on the German Armed Forces to be prepared for any possible scenario.
