Thus, the head of the Lugansk region noted that in a matter of days our fighters will face a powerful offensive from the occupiers, Channel 24 reports.Sergei Gaidai stressed that the Russian invaders are not abandoning their attempts to seize Ukrainian positions. They do this in order to cordon off our military from all sides as much as possible.
On the eve of Victory Day, a long curfew will not be introduced in the Luhansk region. The head of the OVA noted that in the region it lasts more than one day. He reminded everyone that shelling continues everywhere. Therefore, there is no safe place in any settlement in the region.
We are preparing for more powerful offensives. Here, in the next 3-4 days they (the occupiers – Channel 24) will give up all efforts in order to break through either to Severodonetsk or to Popasnaya. There – to take the largest city and encircle the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – Gaidai emphasized.
At the same time, he assured that the Ukrainian military is holding out. Our warriors are confident that they will be able to repel another enemy attack. Strengthening also contributes to this. We are talking about both equipment and people who are ready to resist the invaders.
There are still people in the Luhansk region
Sergei Gaidai gave only indicative figures. Thus, about 50,000 people remain in the territory of the Luhansk region controlled by Ukraine.
And although the infidels cook every day, the local authorities continue to evacuate the civilian population. People are being taken out of Severodonetsk, as well as Lisichansk. In addition, residents of the area are called daily if they have the opportunity to leave.
