War in the Middle East: 134 Ukrainians evacuated from Lebanon

On October 1, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried out a humanitarian operation to evacuate 179 people from Lebanon, where the military situation has sharply worsened, including 134 Ukrainian citizens.

The evacuation was successful with the participation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

Evacuation of Ukrainians from Lebanon — what is known

— Among the Ukrainians, there are 112 adults and 22 children. In addition, 45 people of other nationalities were evacuated – citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Moldova, Brazil and Lebanon. And also – two dogs and a cat, — reported in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

The diplomatic department also thanked the Polish government for its cooperation, which accepted all evacuees in the country, as well as the SkyUp airline, which provided a passenger plane for this mission.

— As part of three evacuation missions, 234 people were evacuated from Lebanon, including 189 Ukrainian citizens and 45 foreigners, — summed up the MFA.
