Alexander Lukashenko is about to fly to China. He says that he needs to build “friendship” with the PRC.

The visit is scheduled for February 28 – March 2. According to Lukashenka, they also plan to cooperate in the political sphere in order to “respond” to the most acute challenges in the current international situation.

What is known about Lukashenka's visit

This visit will be a continuation of the long-term course of developing friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with the People's Republic of China , – said the administration of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus.

They also recalled that Lukashenka had already met with the Chinese side in September 2022 on the sidelines of the Shanghai Organization summit. Then Minsk and Beijing adopted a joint declaration on bringing relations to a new level – “all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership”. h2>

Lukashenko plans with Xi Jinping to analyze what has been achieved and consider the maximum implementation of the potential of a new level in relations in practice. Negotiations will be held in narrow and extended circles.

In the center of negotiations should be:

  • issues of developing trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation;
  • implementation of common “large-scale projects”;
  • interaction in the political sphere and response to the most acute challenges in the current international situation.

It should be noted that these negotiations are planned at a time when China is considering the supply of arms to Russia. Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that China is considering whether to provide “lethal support” to the Russian military.

Already on February 25, CNN found out in an investigation that China, in all likelihood, had not yet made a final decision on the transfer of equipment to Russia. However, negotiations on the price and volume of deliveries are ongoing.

It is preliminary known that the negotiations relate to the supply of drones, artillery and ammunition to Russia (most likely for small arms, not artillery).

Der Spiegel also wrote that Russia is probably negotiating with the Chinese company Xi'an Bingo Intelligent Aviation Technology to purchase 100 attack drones. They may be handed over in the spring.

Moreover, American intelligence has received information indicating that Beijing is inclined in favor of transferring weapons.

Pay attention! China has provided Ukraine with “peace plan”. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there are points that can be worked on, but there are those that the whole world will not agree with. Joe Biden dismissed China's “peace plan” saying, “If Putin applauds it, how can that be a good thing?”
