Wagnerites are building a defensive line in the Luhansk region: even in Russia itself, they consider it a useless thing

Wagner PMC mercenaries fighting on the side of Russia started building a defensive line in the Luhansk region in October. However, even the Russians themselves do not believe in its effectiveness against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the plan of the invaders, the defense line will stretch for tens of kilometers in the Lugansk region.

It is supposed to cover the approaches to Lisichansk and Lugansk captured by the invaders.

For construction, they use the BTM-3 high-speed trench vehicles developed in the USSR, which were stored in the warehouses of the Russian Ministry of Defense for many years, – writes a Russian opposition publication.

At the same time, journalists note that, judging by the experience of the Second World War, “investments in the construction of such defense lines are mostly not justified,” because:

  • they can be broken through in a narrow area,
  • or simply bypassed.

What is happening in the Luhansk region now

The Russians continue to suffer enormous losses in the war against Ukraine. Due to the large number of wounded, hospitals in Lugansk simply do not accept civilians, because all the places are occupied by the occupiers. The situation is the same with morgues. They are mostly filled with troupes of invaders. Therefore, there are very few places for civilians.

The Russian FSB recruited “convicts” who were serving sentences on the territory of a quasi-republic in the Lugansk region. All of them were supposed to carry out enemy tasks against Ukraine.

Also, the enemy continues to resort to the practice of ethnic cleansing, which is familiar to Russians. In the occupied part of the Lugansk region, the invaders are evicting Ukrainians from their homes in order to settle Russian officers there. Similar cases were recorded in the village of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. There, the Kadyrovites, who arrived to “strengthen” the occupying troops, began to evict Ukrainians from their homes.
