The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has decided that the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) still does not comply with the World Anti-Doping Code.
It was made during a meeting of the organization’s executive committee in Shanghai, as stated on the WADA website .
In December 2020, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) stripped RUSADA of its compliance status for two years. After the two-year period, WADA assessed and monitored it.

— Until all reinstatement conditions are met, RUSADA cannot be considered for reinstatement. In addition, RUSADA will not be eligible for reinstatement under the CAS decision until the inconsistency associated with its national legislation is resolved — says WADA in a statement.
According to this CAS decision, Russian athletes were deprived of the opportunity to compete under their flag and anthem at international competitions.
In addition,Russia was prohibited from applying for the right to hostthe Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the World Championships.
Deprivation of compliance status means thatRUSADA representatives cannot hold positions in WADA .Recall that at the last three Olympics, Russian athletes competed without a flag and a national anthem.
