The stele “Hero Cities of Ukraine” was opened in Kamenetz-Podolsk/Mykhailo Posetok's Facebook
A stele of Ukrainian Hero Cities was opened in Kamyanets-Podilskyi. In this way, the townspeople, in particular, honored the memory of the dead and those who continue to fight.
This was announced on his Facebook page by the mayor of Kamyanets-Podilsky Mikhail Positko.
How many refugees Kamenets-Podilsky received
He stressed that Kamianets-Podilsky was entrusted with the big mission of a city-shelter, a city-volunteer. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kamyanets has already received about 30,000 refugees.
Many of the Ukrainians who were forced to temporarily move to Kamianets-Podilsky were fleeing from Russian aggression precisely from the hero cities indicated on the ceiling.
As Mayor Mykhailo Positko recalled, all 9 cities that were awarded the title of Heroes were determined by decrees of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Yes, there are many more today. Struggling, a bridge demonstrating inflexibility and faith in Ukraine,” the mayor emphasized.
He explained that people from settlements where bombs, ruins and pain are among us, in particular, in Kamyanets-Podilskyi. At the opening of the stela, they sincerely sobbed, looking at the name of their native city.
The stella “Hero Cities of Ukraine” is a respect for heroism
“In time, this memorial sign will be rethought in this way. The Hero Cities of Ukraine stele is a tribute and respect for the heroism of those who defended and defends Ukraine, those who innocently gave their lives, those who today protect, volunteer, work,” – said the mayor.
This is a tribute to the entire Ukrainian people. We will stand. We will win. We'll fix everything! Glory to Ukraine! – the mayor of Kamyanets-Podilsky is convinced.
